One of the things that so important to motorbike riders is their tyre pressure.
The tedious job of going to the petrol station to check your tyre pressure on a regular basis can be a nightmare.
The valves always position themselves where you don’t want them, so you move the bike forward or back, usually into a patch of grease or oil. Take off the helmet and the jacket down on your hands and knees to attach the hose. That’s one tyre done, now repeat the process.
The search for a better way has gone on for years, manual pumps wear you out, and other more elaborate 12 volt pumps have to be connected to a 12-volt power source.
Well now worry no more for the Smart Air Pump has arrived this amazing gadget is the size of an iPhone 6 Plus, just a bit thicker it weighs 400gm. Has a digital pressure gauge that can be set to PSI, KPA, BAR, or kg.cm2 and has it’s own inbuilt power supply that’s rechargeable.
So all you do is switch the unit on, set the pressure, connect the hose, press the button and it will inflate or deflate your tyre to the chosen pressure, then stop automatically. It takes around a minute or so for each tyre to be topped up.
The unit can easily be stored on the bike for use on the run, it inflates from 0-100psi and can also be used on pushbikes, cars and comes with an attachment for pumping up all sorts of balls, basketballs, footballs, soccer balls etc. to an exact pressure.
It sells in Australia for $149.00 and can be purchased from www.mrmobile.net.au/smart-bicycle-air-pump

We thought we’d share this email from a customer who found a solution to massive battery drain on the iPhone:
I rang the other day and spoke to you in regards the poor performance, or so i thought of my Energizer AP1201.
I investigated online the issue of the battery in the 4s and ended up ringing Applecare and discussing it with them. I was quickly put onto a senior technical adviser. Following Ed’s advice I backed up the phone via iTunes and then fully restored the phone. His advice was not too load any apps, songs etc onto it for a while and see how the battery goes.
I did this, and have progressively added all my apps and tunes back on.
I have turned off all the location services to all but 2 apps, and only use iCloud to sync my calendar, relying on iTunes over WiFi to sync/backup the rest when I get home. Siri on as well.
Since the restore it is still running on the initial 100% charge, 48hrs later with 30% charge left. Usage (awake time) of over 6 hrs. According to the System Activity App it has 8hrs left too empty. A lot more respectable than the <12hrs I was initially getting.
I think one of the main culprits in my case was the Diagnostics and Usage Data that was being sent to Apple every 30 secs, which is now set to Don’t Send. Since the restore it has only generated 7 low memory / crash reports, nothing like the 100’s it spat out in the first week.
So it appears mine’s all fixed. With the Energizer skin I will have up near 5 days power if needed.
Hope you find some of this info useful.
Are you one of the lucky ones to have got your hands on the new iPhone 4S. Or are you secretly pleased that you didn’t take the leap as stories of terrible battery life flood the internet?
There is nothing more annoying than losing battery fast and it seems that the iPhone 4S is guilty. It isn’t just the chosen few who own an iPhone 4S that are plagued with trouble. Those of us who have upgraded to iOS 5 are finding that battery life on the iPhone and iPad is seriously affected. And it’s slow!
We’ve done the research and collated the best tips from the best sources, to help your battery life last longer. We’d love to hear your tips too!
One site has suggested killing off Siri. She’s the best thing about the iPhone 4S – so try these other tips first and let us know if Siri makes it out alive!
Back to Basics
There are things that always drain battery life regardless of the operating system or the device. These include data services, screen brightness and mail.
– Screen brightness – turn this down for longer battery life
– Keep these off unless you actually use them: bluetooth, WiFi, 3G (for data)
– Turn the push functionality off on your email. Or have it push less often. Go to Settings – Mail, Contacts, Calendar – Fetch New Data
You now have the option of backing up to iCloud rather than through iTunes on your computer. This will be a great relief for many – but is causing headaches for some.
Turning off non essential features in iCloud will definitely save your battery life. Go to Settings – iCloud – Storage & Backup. After turning off the backup – it more than doubled my battery life!
There seem to be some bugs in iOS 5 which are affecting battery life. Particularly with the Calendar Alerts.
Turn off notifications in the settings for your calendar. Go to Settings – Notifications – Calendar and switch it off. It appears that the notifications feature is constantly sorting your appointments and this is sucking huge amounts of battery life.
It’s All about Location
Geo location apps need to know your current location in order to work. The new iPhone 4S has a major push on these apps and the new iOS 5 pings more regularly to find your current location. This is going to suck your battery dry faster than a starving vampire!
Go to Settings – Location Services and select the ones that you wish to be kept regularly updated. Some are a no brainer like Maps, but all those games and other apps that really don’t need to know where you are……Turn them off!
Sneaky System Services
There is a new feature in the iOS 5 update called System Services. This has features such as sending your data to Apple for their stats and information for location based ads and other services. These settings are hiding under Settings – Location Services – System Services (right down the bottom!)
Turn these ones off:
– Diagnostics and Usage (sends stats to Apple)
– Location Base iAds (on free apps that have advertising – this makes sure it is local advertising – do you ever read it anyway?
– Setting Time Zone (leave this on if you travel regularly – otherwise remember to adjust your time zone if you travel into a new one)
– Traffic (I use the traffic apps so I like the programs that use this to see where there is congestion – however turning this off will help your battery life!)
There are other things you can do and our bestadvice: Never get caught without a battery backup. We have a full range of iPhone battery skins that double your battery life as well as portable battery packs for your iPad and Smart phones.
Check out our range today and it will be in the post tomorrow!
Have you noticed the explosion in the Tablet market? If you think I’m talking pharmaceuticals, then you’ll be disappointed. Every month there seems to be the launch of a new tablet. Everyone is getting in on the action and with some of the low price points; the Apple iPad is facing tough competition.
There’s the popular, Blackberry Playbook, Samsung Galaxy Tabs and the iPad to the latest and cheapest to hit the market, the Amazon Kindle Fire at just $200. Even Sony, Fujitsu, Lenovo, Acer, Toshiba, Asus, Motorola and HP have launched their own versions (just to name the brands – there are more!). HP quickly halted production, but only after selling massive volumes at a reduced price. It will be interesting to see if this has the iMate effect (when Vegemite launched a product that failed – and everyone bought them to hold onto and sell later).
Either way…..do you have a tablet? What do you use it for?
We have the perfect accessory to accompany your tablet, so it never runs out of battery in the middle of watching a movie, in a client meeting or on that last level of Angry Birds!
The Energizer® Energi to Go® portable power packs pack a punch when it comes to charging your tablet battery. Many of the above mentioned tablets have quite poor battery life, so this handy solution will help you when you need it most.
Below we compare the two most popular battery packs the XP 4000 and XP 8000 to help you decide the best solution. The XP 4001 and XP 18000 are also great options. We’ve also put together a table to highlight the available connectors for your tablet. The folks at XPAL power are always updating this list as more tablets come onto the market.
More and more cars are coming with adaptors to stream music and speak on the phone, through an inbuilt cable. But what if you have a beloved Mercedes and you’re not ready to upgrade? And who need cables when it can all be done wirelessly? The recently released ViseeO MB-3 Mercedes Bluetooth and iPod adaptor in Australia was met with a huge response. It sold out in the first week and continues to drive out the door! We’ve ordered in more, so you won’t miss out.
Built on the success of the popular MB-2 Bluetooth upgrade adaptor, the ViseeO engineer team is always looking for more functionality beyond a Bluetooth communication device. That’s why they’ve gone back to the drawing board and come up with a premium Bluetooth device that brings even better communication and entertainment experiences to your prestigious cockpit.
We’ve been asked why people should upgrade or purchase this nifty adaptor, so here are the reasons why!
1. MB-3 is equipped with the new CK5050+ Bluetooth module supplied by Parrot, the leading Bluetooth handsfree company worldwide. This module will bring you amazingly fast phonebook sync performance, excellent compatibility and brilliant sound. With more pairing device support you can now pair up to 4 phones with MB-3 and each pairing setting can carry up to 1000 phonebook number individually to gives you total of 4000 phonebook entries* for each MB-3.
2. Music streaming is No. 1 desired feature. As Mercedes UHI interface was originally designed for mono sound communication, it cannot carry stereo music to your console. The ViseeO team has come up a relatively easy solution for playing the external music in stereo sound via the built in FM transmitter. With 3 memory channels, the MB-3 allows you to broadcast the A2DP/iPod/iPhone/AUX-IN music to your car radio with near CD quality sound.
3. No drain: Have you experienced battery drain from using Bluetooth in the past? The MB-3 will charge an iPod or iPhone via the 5v dock cable, so you don’t compromise the battery life to listen to music or use the in-car handsfree. The adaptor includes a USB charging feature that allows you to charge your iPod/iPhone, phone, MP-3 player, and many other devices that can be charged via PC’s USB port.
4. Fully integrated: The MB-3 integrates with steering wheel buttons to give you full and easy access to all functions, right in front of you. The adaptor stores neatly in your armrest along with your iPhone or MP3 player. No messy cords or fiddling to find your favourite song – it’s all at your finger tips!
The recommended retail price is $549, but we have them for you at just $415. Order today as these will sell out fast again and we have only got access to limited stock – click here to order and you’ll be listening to your favourite tracks next week!
* Each MB-3 can actually receive up to 5000 entries per upload however Mercedes console has limited the number of entries to be displayed on its screen therefore depending on the console it can show either 1000 or 650 entries. With up to 4 devices can be paired therefore, each MB-3 can carry up to total of 4000 phonebook numbers.
